How to Submit your Timesheet

Please upload your completed timesheet with the supervisor approval via our ISERP website at http://iserp.columbia.edu/hiring-payroll/payroll/time-sheet-submission

Navigating to the submission form:

  • Go to iserp.columbia.edu
  • Click on Hiring & Payroll then under Payroll click Time Sheet Submission.
  • Enter your first & last name and email address
  • Click choose file (pdf, excel, and word) and then click upload
  • Once you have verified your information, click submit

Note: Timesheets must be signed and dated by the supervisor before uploading. If you cannot obtain supervisors signature, email your timesheet to them and request approval via email then attach the approved email to your timesheet(s).  If you are having trouble uploading your timesheet email us at iserp-hiring@columbia.edu.

How to Submit your Timesheet

With several exceptions before major university holidays, timesheets are due biweekly on Fridays by 12PM (noon).  A timesheet submission reminder will be sent to you the week of the due date.  Please review the Casual Payroll Calendar for further information and note the following:

  • Timesheet Due Dates:  Deadlines are firm and we cannot process any timesheet without a supervisor's signature. Late submission will cause a delay in payment.
  • Pay Days: This is when your check arrives at our office or your direct deposit goes through.  Check the Payroll Calendar to verify the date you should expect payment.

If there has been a gap in your casual employment, before you resume working and submitting timesheets, you must confirm with ISERP whether your hire is still active.

Set up Direct Deposit

ISERP will notify you after your appointment has been entered into the Payroll system, along with instructions on how to set up direct deposit. You can also find them here. ISERP strongly recommends you to set up Direct Deposit, as it allows for a much faster and more secure payment. If you do not set up direct deposit, you will pick up your paper checks in room 370F IAB after being notified via email. Please bring ID when you sign out your check.
