How To's

Activate your UNI and Email

Your Columbia UNI is your key to Columbia’s systems and resources. If you already have a UNI, you will keep it. If you are a CU graduate returning as an employee, or if there was a gap in your employment, let us know as your UNI will need to be reactivated.  If you do not have a UNI, ISERP will generate one for you and send you a notification. At Manage My UNI, you can activate and manage your UNI and email account.

Set up Direct Deposit

ISERP will notify you once your appointment has been entered into the Payroll system, along with instructions on how to set up direct deposit. You can also find the instructions here. ISERP strongly recommends you set up Direct Deposit, as it allows for a much faster and more secure payment.

Sign up for Benefits

Within 31 days of your start date, you must select your benefits. To do so, go to www.hr.columbia.edu/benefits and click on "CU Online Benefits Enrollment System." You will be prompted to log in using your UNI and password.
