Data Use Agreements

Investigators and students in departments supported by ISERP who require a signed Data Use Agreement to access data for their research should contact iserp-funding@columbia.edu. Any DUA requiring signature will be processed by Research Administration. Researchers buying data with grant funds managed by ISERP should email iserp-accounts.payable@columbia.edu. Please note the following:

  1. Students and faculty cannot sign on behalf of the university. ISERP will route the DUA for review and authorized signature.
  2. If any of the data is human subjects data, Columbia will require an approved IRB protocol before signing. You must complete the protocol in the RASCAL system. For more information on Human Subjects Research and submitting an IRB protocol, visit https://research.columbia.edu/content/human-research-protection-office-and-irbs
  3. If you require the use of a cold room on campus for restricted data, see the Computing Resources page for details.
